It's 1972. Afro Americans are liberated. Women are liberated. America is more integrated than ever before. People are reaping rewards from the struggles of the 1960s. Five women are going to be presented with a lifetime achievement award at a gala affair in New York City. The Honorees, Joann Robinson, Daisy Bates, Pauli Murray, Ella Baker, and Fannie Lou Hamer express their joy about being honored and what they went through to reach their newly acclaimed status.
